NUPTIAL OCTAGONAL SEWING BOX (Dealer: kikue) – Traditional Korean octagonal sewing box sent to a bride-to-be from a groom-to-be, as a light-weight paper-mache gem but with the sense of profound presence in such largeness, shape, and lovely color pattern reminded of ‘Obangsaek’ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obangsaek), early-mid 20th century, approx. H 27.5cm (10.82in), D 30.5cm (12.00in). Darkened overall due to age as seen, but not losing original shape as is.
