PUPPET HEAD (Dealer: titcoRet) – A Japanese puppet head, likely used for Bunraku or another form of traditional puppet theater. Carved wood with inset glass eyes (gyokugan). Meiji to Taishō period (late 19th to early 20th century). Head approx. 13.5 × 12 × 12 cm (5.3 × 4.7 × 4.7 in). The internal cord has broken, so the head is no longer attached to its handle. Age-related wear is present, and some of the hair material sheds. Condition as shown.
