RURAL BEAUTY (Dealer: yamanome) – ‘Tsunobukuro'(lit. Horn bag) composed of a long single piece of ‘Shina-fu’ (fabric made from the bark of shina tree, as tilia japonica), once used daily for storing grain or bean to be hung from ceiling for rat guard by the local people in Niigata prefecture, Japan, Taisho period (1912-1926), approx. 77 x 45cm (30.31 x 17.71in). With a big hole repaired with the same fabric as is as seen.
