SASHIKO SHOE INSOLES (Dealer: titcoRet) – Quilted cloth shoe insoles traditionally used inside women’s fabric shoes by mountain ethnic groups in China, made with dense sashiko-style stitching to reinforce the shoe, maintain its shape, and provide insulation against the cold. Remarkably firm and tightly constructed. China, circa 1920s–1930s. Approx. 14.5 × 7.5 × 1.2 cm (5.7 × 3 × 0.5 in). Age-related wear consistent with time and use, as shown.
