SETOGURO CHAWAN (Dealer: misakadou) – Copied piece with the reverence of quality ‘Setoguro chawan’ (Black-Seto ware tea bowl) made in Momoyama period, as an antique re-creation in Taisho-Showa period (Pre-1940s) called ‘utsushi’ as the one of unique traditional Japanese art form composed of the Japanese method and style. Massive and dynamic. Fine firing. Unidentified potter. Attached with a paulownia box signed with wrong description by the former owner who considered it’s from Momoyama period. In fine condition. approx. H 8.5-9cm (3.34-3.54in), D 12-12.5cm (4.72-4.92in)
