SHIGARAKI SAGGAR 02 (Dealer: Sezuan antiques & art) – Shigaraki ware ‘saya’ saggar used as a kiln-tool for firing pottery. Incomplete remains in unperturbed existence with such impressive “landscape” of natural glaze and ‘hittsuki’ pot-sherd stuck on. Meiji period (1868-1912) or later, Japan. approx. D 15-16cm (5.90-6.29in), H 10cm (3.93in)
