SHOTOKU-TAISHI – Japanese Shinto/Buddhist wooden statue (Dealer: KIKA) – Elaborate wood carving of Prince Shotoku (574-622) with ‘shaku’ (flat wooden baton) on his hands and such beautiful worn face, known as a devotee of Buddhism who comes from Imperial family relating deeply with Shintoism, like also known from his famous proverb, “Harmony is the greatest of virtues.”.
