CONFECTIONERY SHOP (Dealer: titcoRet) – An old Japanese wooden signboard composed of three kanji characters meaning “confectionery shop,” originally used at a Japanese confectionery store. Shōwa period (1926–1989). Approx. 34 × 32 × 2 cm (13.4 × 12.6 × 0.8 in). Long exposure to the elements has left the sign heavily weathered, with numerous cracks. The wood around the outer edges of the characters is fragile and sheds small fragments when touched, so handling should be kept to a minimum. Despite the damage, the sign remains structurally intact. Condition as shown.
