DRAGON GOD (Dealer: hotoke) – Japanese hanging scroll with a calligraphy of single kanji character of ‘Ryu’ (Dragon) in running style which stands for ‘Ryujin’ (Dragon god) drawn with a single stroke of the brush as an art form of calligraphy called ‘Ippitsugaki’, as a spiritually bold and speedy move with no hesitation, originally used to be hang at an old house for keeping away from fire, Taisho-Showa period, early 20th century. approx. 137 x 33cm (53.93 x 12.99in). Some expected stains and rips due to aging as is.
