LARGE SOBAN TRAY (Dealer: kikue) – A Korean wooden tray made from a soban tabletop. The original legs were removed and the tabletop repurposed as a serving tray, a common form of reuse when the legs of a soban became damaged. Made of pine. Korea, early 20th century. Approx. up to 45 × 34 × 1.9 cm (17.7 × 13.4 × 0.7 in). Age-related scratches and cracks are present, but it remains solidly constructed.
