CAT INCENSE BURNER (Dealer: Jinta) – A pottery incense burner once used at an okiya (geisha house) in Kyoto, Japan. Shōwa period, early to mid-20th century. Approx. 21 × 19 × 15 cm (8.3 × 7.5 × 5.9 in). Incense smoke emerges from both ears. It possesses an overwhelming presence, quietly commanding the atmosphere of any space in which it is placed. Condition as shown.
