BORO SANDALS (Dealer: titcoRet) – A pair of waraji sandals, uniquely woven from straw and strips of well-worn cloth. Japan, early 20th century. Approx. H 5.5 × W 10 × D 24 cm (2.2 × 3.9 × 9.4 in). Firmly constructed, slightly stiff. Time has left its traces — straw, dust, and the memory of use.
