FROM THE WAIST DOWN (Dealer: titcoRet) – Five pieces set of ‘Ema’ (lit. ‘Horse picture’) as Japanese worshipper’s wooden tablets with such unique paintings of the lower half of the women’s bodies, dedicated to Mizutsu shrine in Ashikaga, Tochigi prefecture where enshrine the God of Water, which are the local folk forms of prayer for cure of women’s diseases or safe childbirth, dated back to the time when the medical care has not developed like today.
