TENGU HEAD (Dealer: titcoRet) – Unique Japanese okimono of the head of ‘Tengu’ (Long-nosed goblin), originally an wooden mold used for making a paper-mache tengu head (because of such back cutting scar for removing paper-mache head out), then vermilion-painted after retired to lead a second life, Taisho-Showa period, early-mid 20th century, approx. 18 x 18 x Depth 19cm (7.08 x 7.08 x 7.48in). Aged deterioration, uneven paint appearance, crack, exfoliation, etc. as is.
