THE DRAGON HOOD (Dealer: yamanome) – Old Japanese fireman’s cotton hood made with the traditional stitching as ‘sashiko’ (ref. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sashiko) backed with the design of amulet dragon made with the traditional technique as ‘tsutsugaki’ (ref. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsutsugaki), early 20th century, approx. 47 x 29 cm (18.50 x 11.41in). All color are made with natural pigment. Stained and holed at the back due to aging as is as seen. Rad and rare.
