TOKONAME JAR (Dealer: hotoke) – Wild but calm Japanese Tokoname high-fired unglazed stoneware jar probably from Chita Peninsula in the medieval period (ca. Early 12th – 16th century). Refined distorted natural form with natural chip and cracks and many highlights of various profound ‘keshiki’ (“landscape”) in such mature texture. Lovely handy size, as approx. H 20.5 x D 17cm (8.07 x 6.69in). In perfectly imperfect wabi-sabi antique condition as is.
