VOTIVE PAINTING FOR QUIT GAMBLING (Dealer: titcoRet) – Traditional Shinto worshipper’s wooden tablet so-called ‘Ema’ (lit. ‘Horse picture’) with such unique picture of ‘Hanafuda’ card (lit. ‘Flower cards’ as traditional Japanese card game) that is locked for wishing to quit gambling, once dedicated to Hozanji shrine in Nara prefecture, Japan. Taisho period, early 20th century. 30 x 22 x 1.3 cm (11.81 x 8.66 x 0.51in). Aged deterioration as is.
