WHITE-GLAZED CHAWAN WITH CLAMP RESTORATION (Dealer: misakadou) – Anonymous white-glazed tea bowl with metal clamp repair, like a work of ‘Honami Koetsu’ (1558-1637) made with homage to him as possibly. Edo period, 19th century, Japan.
Unidentified kiln with no sign. Probably ‘Ko Hagi’ (Old Hagi ware) or ‘Kyoyaki’ (Kyoto ware) as classified. Some cracks repaired with the six metal clamps (One of them is off, but still in fine practical condition for actual use). Attached with an aged kiri paulownia box (with blacked-out sign at the backside of lid).

approx. H 8.5cm (3.34in), D 12cm (4.72in)
