KIRIKO (Dealer: hotoke) – Purificative Shinto paper icon of ‘goshiki’ (five-color of red, white, violet, yellow, and green as Shinto’s color combination) as the ritual altar decoration of local folklore in Tohoku region, called ‘kiriko’ (lit. ‘cut paper’). One of the scarce remain of rare type from various version. Unidentified age. Clipped with wooden stand as the form. Total height: approx. 31cm (12.20in), Kiriko itself: approx. 21.5cm (8.46in)
